Ridges on nails?

Both my thumb nails have deep ridges on them, apparently caused by stress. I hate them, but they won't go away.

My other nails (the middle ones atm) have started and I don't know how to stop.

My big toe nails are like it too

Does anyone know how to fix it?

Which way are they on the nail? Across from side to side or from top to bottom. The top to bottom ones are longitudinal and they will be there forever sadly but and sideways ones will grow out as your nail grows.

I just noticed a longitudinal one on my thumb today and was really sad lol.

You could use a ridge filling base coat in the mean time and hope they grow out. You can also buff them with a 3-way buffer to make them a bit smoother. Hth x

Side to side, but like I said, they've been there over 5 years So embarrassing...

Wow! That is exactly how mine look! I didn't realise there was an actual name for it!

I think I will go see the doctors, is there a way of fixing it?
