hi just abit of advice on a root stretch need to do the root colour but I don’t need/want to tone the ends until after the roots are done and washed off (Hair has been previously over processed and looks unpredictable) I’m think of using the wella instamatic clear dust to create the blend from a 7/81+8/1 illumina root will the instamatic help create the blend with out adding any tone to the over processed bleached ends

I would be weary dragging 7/81 and 8/1 down on to bleached hair even if it is diluted may go very grey x

There is roughly an inch of warm untoned bleach at the root which is what I’m covering with the 7/81+8/1 I just want to avoid making this a line so want it to blend down slightly, it’s a very tricky colour correction and the client has been to 3 hairdressers in the past 3 months and has had bad experiences with all them and not been given what she asked for so kind of wanted a second opinion just so I can feel 100% on what I’m doing I’ve not done much root stretch but I am very confident in correcting blonde that’s gone wrong/left too warm it’s just avoiding the line

Is there any need for the clear dust? Just thinking if it's over processed do you really want to put more developer on the ends?
Could you use olaplex no 2 or a deep treatment just to help create the blend? After youvey painted the root colour on drag the colour down with a comb and then massage treatment etc in to the mle

I was just thinking something that would add any colour on the ends but yeah I suppose a deep conditioner would actually be a good idea thankyou :)
