Hi all,

I currently have a client who has had a purple root stretch/ombré into blonde ends for a while. She wants to go to the picture I’ve attached. I’ve done one lot of bleach already which has lifted to a light orange. Obviously I need to do another lot of bleach to bring it lighter before I can do a brown root. Has anyone any tips on the best way to do a root as small as the one in the picture, as I feel there’s not going to be much space for blending it down if that makes sense. Also best process for completing this as in, bleach onto the existing orangey part simultaneously with the brown root then wash off and tone? Or bleach and then root and toner. Thanks in advance everyone.

If she already has blonde ends you’re almost there. I’d do a full head of highlights, and pull them super fine and as close to the root as possible around the front and then I’d tease out hair on the rest to soften it. I’d do a surround on the roots of something like a 7/1 to blend in any orange from the initial bleach.
After rinsing it, id dry it, section out the front and apply a 6/0 to the roots everywhere except the hairline. I’d then blend this into an 8/0 on zone 2 and then into a platinum toner on the rest and the sectioned out front piece.

Would you highlight every section ? And which bit do you mean you would tease the root area then apply the 7/1? Thanks.
