Rosacea help!

So this is one of my clients.
I think it's acne rosacea but does anyone else have any other ideas?
Her skin has been like this for over a year now. She wakes up with small whiteheads on the cheeks and has been guilty of squeezing them.
I am ready to recommend her to a dermatologist as after trying everything (organic products, elemis, etc) it's just the same.
She's at the point now where she's afraid to use anything on her skin.

She does wear make up everyday (a catch 22 situation as she can't go out without it, too self conscious).

Any help please guys? Thanks x

Im not sure this is rosacea as you don't get heads on. Isn't rosacea more like red spider veins around the nose and cheeks, flushing skin, like sunburn, sore red lumps, dry flaking skin.

This can be a form of rosecea but unless you're a dermatologist it's not for us to really say. I would say a dermatologist is her best option but also microdermabrasion would help keep it under control with the redness .

My mum suffers terribly with rosecea it seems to run in our family and lately hers has been flaring up with almost boil like lumps on her face I do regular microdermabrasion on her and it is improving dramatically

Doesn't look like rosacea. Looks very much like a hormonal and/or gut condition with skin manifestations. Hard to treat with simply skin care as the underlying cause will cause it to recur. PM me if you want to discuss more.

I agree with the above, has she changed her contraception or anything as this could have an impact on her skin, I had to change the pill I was on and the new one made me really spotty, I had to change pills twice after this until I finally found one that cleared my skin.

Also as you state your client wears make-up check what she is using as this makes a huge difference it's probably best for her to wear something oil free and gentle on her skin, a mineral powder is good something similar to bare minerals (I use young blood- has great coverage for redness) and make sure she removes her make up properly and correctly with face cleansers not make-up wipes.

Her doctor should prescribe her a cream that will help her, i hope she finds a solution!

What happened a year ago, when did this appear?

What is she now using skinwise, make up wise?

I would not recommend anything such as Elemis in all honesty, the essential oils are most likely too potent and could potentially aggrevate whatever is causing this.

I would be referring to a drematologist or skin specialist as soon as you can.

The cause could be hormonal, diet could be a factor , not to mention the emotional upset of having a skin outbreak.
This young lady needs to be refered by her GP to a dermatologist to assess and treat root cause.
Until this condition stabilises, her best bet it to keep her skin clean with MILD cleansing products and avoid over aggressive treatment, and of course lots of positive support from you !
Her condition CAN be improved , but I personally think this initially a job for a medical professional.
You are absolutely right to be cautious and seek advice .

What a shame, poor girl. I use Environ Skincare, not as a therapist but a customer. A therapist trained in Environ would be a great starting point for this girl.

I would say this is rosacea from the red patch on her cheek that the spots are in and the redness around her nose. As said above she needs to see her GP as they may need to prescribe an anti biotic cream. Also Eucerin do a cream for rosacea which calms the skin and is green tinged to tone the redness down.
