Rough nails after gel removal

I'm finding that sometimes nails are really rough after removing gel polish. I always leave them wrapped the recommended time but should I be leaving them longer? X

I'm finding that sometimes nails are really rough after removing gel polish. I always leave them wrapped the recommended time but should I be leaving them longer? X

Is it possible that the roughness you're feeling is some remaining base coat? I get this sometimes and when I do I just re-saturate the pad in remover and soak for another couple of minutes and then it will usually wipe off easily with a pad.

The recommended time is usually the minimum time recommended by the manufacturer that you need to soak off the product.
