please help. I have my friend who has 0% grey base 6 hair.

She has quite a bit of natural virgin hair. I coloured it in October time. I balayaged the ends and then attempted a colour melt. I can't remember the exact colours but it was a quasi and along the coppery tone.

Anyway she wants a russet copper like the picture. But I'm not sure how to achieve it.

Would you re-balayage to have the multitonal a little more?

To me the colour looks sort of similar to 6.64 but not as red, and brighter, more vibrant than 6.45.

None of the diarichesse hi-visibility look quite right. And most of these work best on a darker base (according to their recommendations).

I don't want to do a permanent as I don't feel there's need as she has no grey.

I'm open to using Wella as I am thinking of moving over to them...

Do you have 6.43 (6 copper gold?) does she want it all over?

I don't know... I can't remember the colour chart. Will have a look tomorrow. Or get Wella. I've sure they'll have it?

Yeah. But, it doesn't look like an all over? Or is it just the light?

If a client brought me that pic id probably do an all over colour, probably a 6.43 or a 6.34 with a squirt of red

Can I use a permanent mix tone in a demi/quasi tint?

You often need the higher pH of permanent colour to hit those copper tones.

What I would do- Roots with 6.45 for the deeper tone, lengths and ends with 3/4 6.45 + 1/4 7.43 + 1/4 copper mix tone. Afterwards or at backwash balayage few pieces with majimeche or a gentle lightner untill yellow-orange, and glaze with dialight 6.45+7.43 over all the hair.

This would need to be majirel to have the copper mix?

Also, I don't balayage a lot. How would I go about balayaging at the basin?

@cassies97 just out of interest. What would you do with Wella to achieve this?

I would probably do 6/43and 7/43 in kp!

So 1 part 8/43 and 2 parts 6/43.

Yeah! It'll go slightly brighter on the already balayaged parts!

Unless she wants that little bit of root in the pic?
She's pretty easy going!

But if she did choose that would I just add a touch of base as its not so bright?

I'd mix it with some 5/3.

Yea definitely all over X

Just had a thought. Would 30 vol make the colour more intense or blow out the tone?

So, as I'm thinking to move over to Wella. I didn't fancy buying 3 Majirel shades.

So, I did Wella as Cassie said.
Then did inoa 645 on the root like Adam said.

It looked really lovely. My photos were shocking. And it doesn't show any tone at all [emoji107]

I hate photos too, I've done some freaking lush balyages this week & none of the pics did them justice! Grrrr

Glad it worked out good for you tho :)
