From you experience......
I have a cut and blowdry trail on Thursday, I have to bring in my own model... and was going to do a long one length cut with square layers then dry and straighten it then texturise the layers to remove the bulk. Do you think something like this will impress the salon owner? It isnt a high end salon, just a local one on a row of shops. Its my first job in a salon and i am currently doing my level 2 at college. The salon owner is aware of this. I really want this job so does anyone have any tips for me or what they might expect that might help me to get the job??? Thank you x

If your still doing your level 2 then the owner surely won't expect more than basic cut. Personally I think it's better to do a basic cut well than try something harder and get it wrong xx

Hiya, thankyou for your advice. I did think that too. just wanted to see what someone else thought! :)

Hi I agree with above poster, also from my experience at employing staff it's not just about how well you can currently do the job..appearance, enthusiasm for the job, communication skills with your potential boss and client all comes into play. Look fabulous and remember to be friendly and chatty to your client (even tho you will be concentrating on your cut)..good luck xx
