but im wanting to change the name as its only advertising hair mainly the name
I wanted to change salon name to my dads name who died young from cancer and left me this money.
do you think changing a name can damage a business also do you like the name

It can be detrimental to the business if it is successful.

I also am going through something similar with name change.

I have had to change as I moved house and new premises didn't suit the name as I had the house number in it.

I do have a name for myself but while everyone gets to grips with the new name I am keeping two facebook pages open so my existing customers and new know it's still me.

I think it's fine to change the name especially when you are buying over a business - it's going to be under new management and that is something is be letting people know anyway - I think as long as you market it correctly and manage all the existing clients there is no problem!
