Hi all, I'm hoping I can get some advice, particually from salon owners/managers.

I have a trial day at an exclusive salon on friday. I only found out today and was asked to bring some models in.
A friend of mine recommended some people she knew - in fact a whole family of people who were willing. I met the husband and wife today..problem is, the gent was very scruffy.
Would this be a poor reflection on me? I know I could transform him so it could work in my favour.

Any advice please? Or reassurance.

Thankyou :)

Hi!

Trade tests really are just a snippet of watching how you work and interact with clients.

Your models is no reflection on you!

Stay professional, be calm and reassuring and the manager will allow for your nerves! Good luck!

Thankyou... it has been bugging me all afternoon.... i have been inundated by women who all want to be my model as well as this family. Some women more suitable than existing ones i have.

the woman has a long grad, her daughter has really long hair to her bum... I've been told I need to do a classic gents cut, a classic womens cut and a commercial cut and colour.
Do you think it will be too much pressure working with extremely long hair on such a day? (colourwise) she isn't keen on losing too much length either :-(
As for the woman with the long grad, she wants to keep it the same style, just an inch off. Do you think i should find a restyle instead as I don't feel just taking an inch off will show off my skills.

Sorry to bombard questions. I'm newly qualified and didn't have to even do a trade test in my last job!

Thanks :)
