I don't know where to ask this question, but I found a lot of other helpful answers here and I hope you can help me.. :)

What is the safe way to remove gel polish when my naturally thin nails are curling/bending inwards when I use acetone? They're like paper and don't even look like nails afterwards.
I can't find anything about this, am I the only one with this problem? I love gel polish and now I can't wear it because of that.. :(
My nails were always like this, practically my whole life, so it's not a temporary situation made by overfilling or anything else. I started to use gel polish because I needed my nails to be stronger and thicker (and it helped with that), but removal process is the biggest problem.
Does this mean wearing gel polish is simply not for me?

The curling is from the dehydration and is only temporary.

A great option for you would be to use a correction or structure gel (a lot of soak-off gel polish ranges offer these now but may use a different name for it - these are a simple brush on from the bottle application of a thicker gel which provides more strength) OR a hard gel (if you are trained in overlays and extensions) and instead of full removal each application, simply file off the colour, back fill your base gel and repaint :) no acetone needed!

Do you regularly use a good quality cuticle/nail oil?
