:|:|I have been hairdressing for 10 years, in a salon for most but the past 3 years i have been mobile, I am now starting upon my own just doing hair in a beauty salon as ill be the only stylist at 1st i wont have any1 to reasure about things, i want to offer as much as i can but being out of a salon has lost a little of my confidence doing the same customers for so long. I currently use koleston and colour touch mainly as anything else is out of my comfort zone but i think i need to try new aswell.

Any advise about anything i would be very greatfull as its a little scary starting up on my own, feel i need to refresh my memory about colour correction aswell!!

I always have got on well with matrix, not tricky and true to shade. They have something called color graphics which is the easiest and most fun way to highlight!!

well ive found since ive bought my own salon that sometimes u just have to fake some confidence. have faith in your talent.. u wouldnt have got this far if u didnt know what u were doing! wella has colour technicians on hand all the time so if u need some friendly advice about any particular colour techniques theyre more than happy to help u out. when u are happy and confident, ur client will be too :)

Awww thank you i think your right :)

Hi hun,

It sounds very exciting being the only hairdresser in a salon. You can set your own rules and you don't have to put any pressure on your self because there is only you.

Wella helpline is great but also get or borrow and NVQ L3 book to refresh you on colour correction. I have just gone mobile and I am doing a lot of colour corrections on new clients, I just look back at my notes at the book. I think its great to try new things but i always use Wella as my main colour.
