Shallac and Gellac

For the past several months I'v had my nails done using Shellac and Gellac(?). In two instances, once with Shellac and once with Gelac the tips became seriously discolored. In each case I had a french manicure. Tried using alcohol to clean them to no avail. Have no idea what I am getting into that causes the discoloration. both times it occured about two weeks after the manicure, but it was sudden. What might be causing this chemical reaction. Very strange.

Hi. Did you have them all done at the same place? Did they perform a mini manicure first? Often these problems are due to the nail not being prepped properly, as otherwise it could be bacteria or other contaminants.x
