Hi I'm a Beauty Geek wanting some hair advice, my hair is getting greasy and it makes me feel dirty. I have to wash it every night and I know that you shouldn't wash it that often, but I just couldn't go to work with it feeling unclean and even after washing it at night the next morning when I'm styling it it feels greasy and to me it smells unclean. I only leave it at weekend 1 night without a wash and it drives me nuts the whole day.
It didn't use to be like this its as I'm getting older I'm 43 and have an under active thyroid but only take 50mg per day.
Can anyone recommend a really good shampoo etc. I must admit i only use tresome 2 in 1 frequent use, i use to use herbal essence for normal to greasy, i"ve looked for others but they all seem to be for coloured or damaged and it would have to be excellent and do its job for me to pay for a professional one, please help x

I think your problem is what you are using.
It's either build up of the shampoos ETC you're using, or the harshness of them making your hair dry, which in turn will force the sebaceous glands to work overtime making your hair greasy.

Try a clarifying shampoo to shift the build up, them pop to your salon and ask your stylist what she or he would recommend for your hair type x

Switch to a mens shampoo + conditioner. They are formulated for daily use & tame oil build ups from gym/sports users by having enough cleansing properties to remove oils & not dry out hair which makes it a daily use friendly product.

They are also a pleasant herbal, natural smelling product by avoiding the scented oil additions that women orientated product contains. They use more organic means for cleansing like peppermint, jojoba, clove etc making them do what they are ment for in a more natural/safe way.

The conditioners are more like a dangler, being lighter than traditional womens products usually packed with extra moisture agents that will grease your hair out. Avoid using it on scalp + apply starting on ends & working it 1/2-3/4 way up hair length depending on how much from your scalp, hair picks up oils.

TIGI/Bed Head's -Clean-Up in the black/silver bottles is a decent lower, mid-range line that's priced decent as a duo in 1L each.
Redkens-Go Clean,Mint Clean & Spice Clean is a good mid-range line more costly than TIGI.....Any up-grade for now is good for you!
