Hi all, I am new to the site and just wanted to share!

I've been having Shellac done now for a few months, every other week and Shellac being applied poorly/incorrectly has completely ruined my nails!

I had lovely strong nails which are now brittle and peel after several applications of Shellac but I realise, and it's only because of SG, that it's not been done correctly! My nail tech never recommended any oil, let only solar oil to me, in fact they said avoid oils, moisturisers etc to prolonge it! They don't prep my nails correctly and it's never lasted more than a week!

I am fuming, I feel ripped off and I know their practice will give Shellac a bad name and it is because of this I have decided to train in nails and offer people a professional service!

Sorry if it reads as a long rant, but had no where else to vent! X

Welcome to Salon Geek!
How terrible of you to have had such a poor experience from a so called professional! Its bound to make a few people on here very upset and angry :(
On a good note, I'm so glad you have done your research! It really does pay to be educated sometimes!
This site contains a whole wealth of knowledge directly from professionals and industry experts to name a few.
As well as advice, news and product information you will also find tutorials and photographs. There is nothing you won't be able to find - it really is quite a site!
Take your time to familiarise yourself with the site and how to search for articles and posts etc before you post anything, as chances are it has been discussed more that once!

Good luck!

Enjoy
