I had my nails done for my holiday and it chipped so much in the end I peeled it off!

No blame to the girl who did my nails but what could of caused this?? I understood them to last for up to two weeks with no chips but these barely lasted a week!

Many things could have been the cause.

Application- perhaps the tech did not perform and accurate manicure to remove the cuticle on the nail plate. She may not have used scrub fresh prior to application.

Have you followed you aftercare? Suntan lotions and insect repellents sometimes contain a chemical called DEET which can dissolve the coating. Have you Worn gloves when doing any washing up or cleaning? Have you used your Solar oil regulary and made sure you didn't use your nails as tools? It's a fab product but not indestructible!!

Was it actually CND Shellac? Don't take this the wrong way but sometimes clients ask for Shellac and don't actually get the CND Shellac which has given the product it's reputation so it should of said CND Shellac on the bottle and cured using the CND lamp.

How is the condition of your natural nails? If you have bendy weak or peeling nails they will not support the Shellac as well as good quality nails. shellac is only as good as the canvas it goes on.

Tell us some more and maybe we can find the answer.

Yep she used scrub fresh and pushed the cuticles back and lightly buffed the nail plate.

I never used aftersun but did use sun gel a couple of times - I rarely burn in the sun so only applied it a couple of times. Also didnt use any repellents.

Have a dishwasher so no washing up for me :)

Yep used my solar oil and didnt do anything out of the ordinary with my nails.

Yes I am pretty sure she used CND shellac.

My natural nails are in good shape - strong, no ridges, no peeling. They are looked after so this is why I am a bit miffed :|
