Hi guys I am a newby on here I have just come back into the beauty industry after a long break! I have recently completed my Cnd shellac training which I loved. I have done a good few sets of nails and they have looked lovely. Did my sisters nails this morning and two have come off already. She said they just peeled off. Have i put the shellac on too thick? As done all my pep etc.. Also I had a lady in for a manicure yesterday and I painted her nails with vinylux and she came back today as they had all chipped at the end. I have offered to re paint them for her and she was very understanding but feel very disheartened! I have painted nails a lot in the past and always used jessica polishes and never had a problem with chipping so quick has any one else had this problem with Vinylux?

It could be that your sister or client have done something to cause the peeling/chipping. So don't assume it's always something you've done.

Run us though your application and maybe we can spot something that could possibly be causing problems. xx

I have used Jessica polishes in the past but now use vinylux.
I can't say I've had any problem with chipping with Vinylux so all I can suggest is that you could try scrubbing the nail with scrubfresh extra extra thoroughly before applying the first coat of colour.

I do 2 or 3 coats of colour before 'floating' the vinylux top coat onto the nail.
Perhaps be more generous with your top coat too?

cool blue, cuticle away, deactivate, scrub fresh the nails apply base coat, 2 coats colour, topcoat.
I have a feeling I have maybe applied it a little too thick is it best to do the coats as thin as possible. Thanks.xx

Thanks for the advice on the vinylux I will give it another go with what you have said. Do you prefer the Vinylux to tge jessica polish?x
