Hello! I apologise if this question has been asked before, but I can't find it if it has!

I have no nail qualifications but I wish to take a manicure course at my local capital. The course is 1 day and would provide me with a certificate of attendance which is accredited by the guild. In the future I wish to do shellac on my family and friends. Would the above course be enough to practice shellac? I understand that taking the official CND course in shellac is the best option, but I cannot undertake it at the present time. This is purely a sideline as I have a full time job.

I have asked capital about this but they say they cannot comment as they don't do courses in shellac.
I would appreciate any advise you could give!!! Many thanks!! Xx

Sweet squared ate the authorised distributor of CND Shellac. If you give them a call they'll be able to tell you which qualifications they accept. Haven't got the number on me but just go into their website, think they're now closed til Monday though

I would go and do the proper shellac course, you will not be able to buy shellac products if you don't.
you need to produce your shellac certificate as proof that you have done the course before company's will sell shellac to you x

You can purchase Shellac as long as you have completed a mani qualification that Sweet Squared accept. Deffo give them a call and go from there then once you have done that, do the Shellac course. Ideally you want a manicure course that covers you for both standard and luxury (spa) and that teaches you the anatomy & physiology of the hands and nails xx

Thanks for your help guys! I've contacted the relevant company's and now know what I'm doing! Hopefully will be starting my corse at the end of July :)

Apologies for the late reply, forgot my login details then had family situations that took over!
Thanks again for your help!! X
