Hello

My shellac top coat has become quite gloopy, I had to wipe the brush and small jelly like pieces came off. I gave the bottle another good shake and it came out a bit smoother but I’ve noticed that the top of the brush has a hard layer around it.

I’ve only had it a month and I got it from Sweet Squared.

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what I might have done to cause this?

Thanks

You could have it to close to the lamp when your curing nails.? I keep doing this and it cures the gel in the bottle

Remember that Shellac is half polish, half gel. If the cap is crusted and loose, all of the ingredients may have evaporated causing it to harden.

Thanks for your replies.

Now that I stop and think about it I’ve recently gone to a couple of clients houses rather than doing it in my nail
Room at home and I I’ve had to set my self up differently to suit their tables and I have had the bottle closer to the lamp. Expensive lesson learnt! Now worried about two of my colours too as I had them in the same place.

Appreciate the help
