I had some hair extensions fitted at the end of July, pre bonded, a little over half a head. The price was £150, which was a reduced rate at the time. Not even a week into having them i noticed they were matting quite badly and were very dry. I went on holiday about 10 days after having them fitted - the only advice i was given was to leave spray-in conidtioner in them when in pool or sea to try and keep them moisturied. I did do this but in general i tend not to get my hair wet when i have extensions in in pools etc. However the ends did get a bit wet and to my horror the hair turned a pinkish coppery colour!! The rest of my hair is quite a whiteish blonde so you can imagine what a state it looked! I contacted the girl when i was on holiday and i said i cant believe this has happenend and to top it all off the condition of the hair by this point was so matted i couldnt get a brush through it, had to keep it in 2 plaits for rest of holiday to prevent matting. I'm more concerned though about the matting. I was told the hair was such good quality i wouldnt even need to have maintenance which i have had to have in the past every 6 weeks or so. She told me she would refund me £100. I had in the post today a cheque for £60 and she said oh its because the company she buys the hair from have changed there policy. My point is as a consumer i brought the hair from her. How would i go about claiming the money back from her insurance? Surely remy hair does not matt after a week? and can anyone recommend some good hair suppliers? any advice would be greatly appreciated, i just want some decent hair extensions!!!!!!!!!!!

Go back to the salon as soon as you can.

Just because something was on sale does not give permission for something to be of shoddy quality or for the stylist to do substandard work. Tell them you wanted to rectify the problem before anyone asked you where you got your hair done.

hi
i think that even at an offer price of £150 she still has to buy the hair... and you would never get remy hair for that!! EVER!
you get what you pay for
although i am in no way condoning whats happened to you...... i'd be well p**sed off!!
defo tell her you want the full refund and ask her for proof it was remy hair she used...
xx
