Popping in from the nail geek!
This is my hair at the mo (just had HD brows done, wee bit dark but they'll fade hopefully lol). I've been this blonde for a few years now and thinking of a change. My hairdresser doesn't offer much help in terms of what would suit me, so I'm hoping any of you guys have any advice? TIA :)

You'd definitely suit darker, but I'd do what makes you happy-you could always try a dark blonde first so it's not too much of a shock? X

The Blonde does make you look very washed out, the colour is too flat for you.

Your roots look quite dark, I'd certainly go darker with some warmth to lift your skin tone, think it would look lovely

Confusion is a lifestyle - not a state of mind

thanks guys! it terrifies me to go darker but i may take the plunge ;) xx

As KHS says, it will probably be a shock at first seeing yourself with darker hair but give it at least 2 weeks to get used to it before considering any changes.

You could go darker gradually by adding low lights in a couple of different tones and building them up same as when gong blonde from dark.

Spend some time looking at images of women with darker blonde hair (Google, magazines etc.) and see if anything grabs you. Take that to your hairdresser and get them to work with you in planning your new look.

I think a good hairdresser isn't just someone able to cut and colour well. They need to have the vision and creativity to help their clients try out new looks from time to time. If your hairdresser isn't offering you any ideas, might be worth trying someone new for a change?

A nice rich darker-med-brown color would make your eyes pop nicely.....with a few dark-blond-light-caramel foils on top...just a few foils like 4-5 spaced apart......ask your stylist about a semi/demi for first time to see if you like it, if not, the color will fade quick on your lifted hair b4 making a more permanant decision.......I say do it! I love light eyes with darker hair....more unique/exotic plus healthier for your hair as it looks like it could use a break from the harsh chemical process for blond!

I've just gone dark brown from blonde and I'm totally in love with it!

So many people have complimented me on it, telling me how much it suits me.

I like you have dark eyebrows, and with your skin tone I think you'd be surprised how much you'd prefer it. Initially its a shock. The thing with me is I either suit really blonde or really dark, I can never pull of the inbetween.

However just for now why don't you try like a ombré/balayage to see the dark against yourself but still keeping some of the lightness?

Thanks ladies! I really am quite petrified to do it. Maybe in the new year I'll take the plunge but it's very very scary! First world problems i guess LOL. thank you all so much for responding xx
