This is a picture of the side of my head shaved (I have a tattoo there). I'm wanting to grow it out, and I can successfully flip my hair to the other side and cover it, but my hair looks so thin. What types of hair cuts or styles can I do while my hair grows out? I'm very open to doing anything, I haven't dyed my hair in three years and have only received trims. I'm ready for something new.

I know I posted this forever ago, I'm still wanting to do my hair differently, I just forgot to mention I'm also 7 months pregnant and I'm not sure what chemicals I need to stay away from. Thank you

Hi, I'm not sure how sort you are prepared to go whilst growing out a side shave, looking at the length of your hair already it will be a long process...

You could of you;re prepared for a completely different look is go for Asymmetric cut, this will blend in your side shave nicely and all grow out and keeping the shape.

What you will have to do is keep having more cut off the length for the shave to catch up.... if that makes sense...say, the ends taken off the shaved side and 1/4 inch off the length side, so it will never get any longer but the short will grow to catch up then you can grow the lot back at the same rate.

May not be much help but I had my hair shaved too, all of the right hand side and ending at the back of my neck, my hair was shoulder length at the time, I swapped my parting to the other side and once it was a couple of inches long clipped my extensions onto it, took me around 9 months to get it back to shoulder length x
