hey everyone!

I went for a trade test for a full time nail tech last week and used a gel system that I have never heard of before. It is called silcare. Has anyone ever heard of it? I went on to their website and the products seem really cheap compared to what I usually use which is young nails clear structure gel! It was a system called 'base one'. The salon owner I went to said she has been using it for years and loves it. I would be curious to see what everyone else thinks and If you have used it before could you maybe tell me what I would need ? I would be thinking I need the gel, gel bonder and primer?

Yes I've seen it to. I was thinking of trying the structure gel. Looks pretty good to me..worth a try.. think it's a pretty new brand to the uk.

Silcare sent some products over to the salon I work at to try out... We had their Affinity clear builder gel, Acid primer and gel polish remover. Products were average - primer and gel polish remover did their job, however, it seemed that acetone concentration in the gel polish remover were on the low side, we also had problems with gel on clients whom you would call "problematic" - there were lifting (with our regular line there isn't). Haven't tried Base One though.
Yes, it is Polish brand, which means they have to follow EU regulations for cosmetics and chemicals, however, their fantastically cheap prices really make me warry - good products can be cheap, but I don't think they can be THAT cheap?!?! I personaly wouldn't choose their products, not even as my side line. Something just feels wrong about them.

I use base one cover gels and i love it! Clients ask for it - the light cover (name) is so pretty. Have had just one lady whom has had problems with it. I have also used the led builder gel, but it's burning to much even with thin layers. It's a great line of products to a really good price and for me it works to mix it with my regular line.

Okay so I bought the gel and have been using it but so many ladies have been messaging me a day or two later saying a nail or two have come off?? I doesn't want to stick on their nails I am so annoyed because I absolutely LOVE the formulation! And it's so strange it lasts on me ?!?! I think I will have to go back to young nails clear structure gel Unless any of you know of a similar brand I could try with the same viscosity? I love structure gels for the speed I can do a full set in. All 4 fingers done and cured at once and then the thumbs seperately, super fast! Hope to hear of more brands I could try!
