Hi guys

I've had a lady in tonight with ski jump nails, I've only just starting using gel (brisa lite) again after a 3 year gap!

I found I ended up making her nails look less ski jump or flat, have you got any help/tips with using gel. Is it a case or a few more layers to build the apex? Or a more curved tip?

Any advice would be great x

With ski jump nails you need to get rid of the length first. The longer the nail the more pronounced the upward curve will be. A tip will tend to follow that upward curve so remove as much length as possible and the tip will have a more natural shape.

Client must commit to a new set every couple of months or the ski jump curve will be showing again with growth, depending on the severity of the upward curve.

If you do not flatten the curve by shortening the free edge, then you will have to build a higher apex by, yes, adding more layers until the necessary depth is achieved.
