Solar Oil over nail polish?

Hi, I know there's a million threads on this, but I can't specifically find the answer. I just wanted to know when applying solar oil to your nails, should you apply it on your bare nail or can you apply it over nail polish? And can you also apply it over shellac??

Ideally I'm trying to get my pealing dry nails to stop so I can start getting shellac manicures, but my nails always break and peal so I resorted to the lovely solar oil.

Yes you can use solar oil over natural, polished and shellaced nails. You will need to use it at least twice a day.

A good tech will be able to help if your nails are peeling and need extra strength.

Now is a great time for you to have Shellac as there is a new product being launched right now that will rectify your challenged nails. It's called IBX, there are loads of threads and pictures showing the results.

Ok thanks! Is this ibx like solar oil but it goes under the shellac?

Have a look on the Nail Forum for the thread IBX Repair and Restore. It's a system that actually works from within the nail to strengthen and repair, so it's like nothing else out there! You can either have it done on natural nails and you will not see anything left on the nail, or you can have it underneath Shellac. It will depend on your nail condition how many treatments will be required for you.

This is only just being released so not all salons will have it yet, but if you say where you are I'm sure you will be able to find someone to help.

Ok awesome! I just read the thread and I'm excited to try that! I called my salon, and they don't have it yet but I'm sure in time they will or I will just go somewhere else. That's very exciting they will have that for challenged nails like mine! In the mean time, I'll keep applying the solar oil.
