Solution not drying

Hi all hubby recently bought me a tanning machine. We put the solution in the fridge. He sprayed me last night but the solution didn't dry on my skin at all I couldn't even sit down because it just wiped off! It was a 4 hour tan but I washed it b off after 2 hours because it was nearly midnight and I needed sleep. Obviously it all washed off completely but I'm wondering why it didn't dry at all? I tried to dry it with the air from the machine and cold air from my ghdair. .

How much solution was used do you know?

Not very much?? Haha I'm sorry I really don't know how to answer that. We only used a tiny bit because I was terrified of him stuffing it up and I figured you can always do it again

Is your machine of the correct setting?

Have you had spray tan training?

Um no to all? My husband bought it as a present for me. I have absolutely no intention of ever using this machine for anyone other then myself. Omg.
