Hi!
Iv been out of hairdressing for a couple of years and I need to refresh my memory...
Iv been asked to do a full head of highlights for a friend and she has dark brown hair. She's never had highlights before so iv recommended she goes for at least 2 different shades scattered all over finely to start with as the the change can seem quite dramatic at first (I can always add to it)
The problem I'm having is what colours do I buy? I'm thinking darker blondes and honey shades. I will be buying these online but as I'm no longer working in a salon I haven't seen how these colours actually look on peoples hair and what level peroxide is best to use? Could anyone please give me a bit advice please on the best colours and brands to use and help restore my confidence!!!
Thanks xx

If she has never had full head before I'd say start with t-section foils, don't run before you can walk, she can add to it easier than cover them up, as for colours what's her base? Does she want bright/vibrant soft/subtle or noticeable yet natural? X

She wants noticeably natural and I'd say her base was a 2-3. I'm pretty sure she wouldn't want any reddish tones to come out when coloured so I'm going to need something with a decent lift but I'm well out on brands at the moment!! Thanks xx

Is it natural 2-3? I'd personally use a flat 5.0 with 30vol
