Hi Geeks,
Firstly can i say that this site is the best thing for advice and ive learnt much more on here than i did in my EE course.

My problem is this, ive just done a set of extensions and i feel like they werent very good, they seemed a bit sparse and the girl who i did wanted a curly look as she said she didnt want lashes that just point forward, so i thought id use a c curl, this took me a lot longer to do as im only really using j curl at the mo, ive only done about 9 sets since my training and thought i was getting a bit better but now i feel like im not very good at all.
she had lots of lashes and the c curl didnt seem that easy, at the end she said that she thought they were a bit spaced out, i feel sooo bad!!

has anyone got any tips, i now feel like im no good and have lost all confidence, has this happened to anyone else???

any feedback you have would be really appreciated
x

I only trained just over a month ago.

Think your expecting too much too soon, why not say to the girl that when she comes for the infill's you'll put a some more in?

I think that you see more once they open their eye's, and by then it's too late to put more in lol. I know what you need thou, it get's to me but I'm still practising and it's helping when I do the next set, try to put a few more in and the other thing I found was that I needed more in the middle so the next set I did I put some more in there and they looked better.

Keep practising

thanks hun,
yeah you are def right in that you dont really see until they open their eyes, i think i will def concentrate on putting more in the middle lashes next time, thanks for that

how many people have you done so far? how much are you charging?

I've been lashing for 3 years now and I'd say only in the last year have I felt completely happy it takes a lot of practise keep at it you will soon pick up speed. If your client has straight lashes and you want to use a c curl you probably need to do a perm first you will find they fit the lash much better. If she has lots of lashes de tac your micropore and tape a layer of lashes up do it in 2 stages . Hope this helps a little ! X

I have done 12 sets at the moment. I had lost confidence with them and stopped doing them for over two weeks because they were falling out too quick. Spoke to the trainer and went thur some things. I think it was because I wasn;t using enough glue. Any way that day did a set and they have lasted.

last week I decided to just go for it will paying client's, I have 5 people booked in for this week, first one is later today, so nervous but just going to go for it! I'm charging £25.00 just for this week. I will charge £60 for a full set once confided, I have explained to client's that it's because I have only just qualified and I really need practise. I'm just going to see how they go between now and Christmas and slowly bring the price up .

Thanks guys,
i will try the trick with the micropore tape thanks cathill, but wont it pull the lashes out that ive done? and kezza good luck for later, i get really nervous as well, let me know how you get on with it, im sure you wil be great, ive got someone booked in next week who is a complete stranger and im so nervous, id advertised that for £35 but now im thinking i should only be charging £25 arghhhh its so hard!!

It will if you don't de tac your tape first !!! Believe in yourself and don't limit yourself you a time it took me 2 hours sometimes more at first ! X

£35 is cheap enough!!!:-/

thanks for all your help, yeah i just need to practise practise practise!!! x
