I am newly qualified and have had a few new clients but at the moment it's mostly just friends and family. I want to attract new clients, could I do this by offering special offers, for example reducing my price of gel polish for one week only ?

Try not to discount, it devalues your worth and your skill, try to 'add on' instead.....maybe offer toes at half price when done at the same time. Yes it's a discount on the toes but you're gaining work not losing money. Add nail art for free, this gives them something extra, a chance for you to practise and tempts them into something extra next time as once they have glitter/stamping/whatever they'll want it again next time.

Discounting will only bring you bargain hunters who will skip from tech to tech based on price, you want loyal, regular customers who will be consistent and trust you

Ahh thank you!

Really good advice Trinity!

I'm just starting out too. I decided to offer a small discount for a refer a friend offer. The idea is that I do both friends at the same appointment. I'm losing a bit of profit per manicure, but gaining an extra customer, who will hopefully introduce more friends
