I've not heard of this cocktail before but am astounded with the wealth of knowledge some of our geeks have, we are in good hands, and I'm learning so much.

My initial thought if I was asked by a client would have been to advised them against it, purely because, after the sunbed their pores would be open and likely to cause speckling of the spray tan, and to have a sunbed after would cause sweating and possible lining of the tan dye.

This is basic opinion only, but thanks to Ruth and Collin for their information - great.

You should not be sweating after 3 mins on a sunbed if the room is well ventilated/air conditioned. Also alot of the sunbeds have a fan built in to minimise sweating when on the sunbed for longer periods of time.

In my opinion you would spray first then use the sunbed, but i don't offer these 'cocktails' i do have a sunbed though

I started offered this in our salon about 3 years ago, there are a couple of old threads about it on here.

I saw it on Sunset Tan.

Either an 8 with 4 mins, 10 with 8 mins or a 12 with 8 mins.

Most client had 8 with 4 mins - and most of the staff had 12 with 8 mins -very dark!
I don't use sunbeds at all now though.

I get tanned at my house or my friends so I coud'nt do it that way don't think the sunbeds shop would be happy if I walked in with my tent friend and spray stuff lol xx

what about 2 mins on sun bed a spray tan then finish with 3 mins on the stand and tan with good fans .....

Yes, I agree with the need to sort the sunbed industry and I'm happy that it's happening, but please don't be influenced buy the sunblock manufacturers' funded, media induced frenzy about sunbeds and skin cancer. I've yet to see any hard facts and figures!

We all know there's risks involved with any type of UV exposure and we always have done but please don't confuse reputable sunbed salons with the bad ones:)
