Hi im about to do a spraytan course to do mobile. Im just wondering are most spraytan kits universal ans u can use any spraytan liquid? Any advice would be so amazing!

There are different types of machines. HVLP or Airbrush Compressors. If you use an Airbrush System you will need to be a little more careful with which solutions you use as some can be too thick. The suppliers will always tell you if you ask. Otherwise you can use any solution with any machine. A lot of girls will go for the least expensive trainig they can find and then buy theie equipment or buy equipment when on offer and then do their training. The best option though would be to train and buy equipment from the same company as they often do free training if you buy the starter kit which often includes enough solution for quite a few tans. Once you have finished the solution you will be more experienced and be able to make an informed decision about who to use as a supplier next. hth's

Thankyou so much do u rate the sienna tan?

Training with the same company you buy your kit from is not always the most cost-effective option. I'd be wary of this.

As an inexperienced newbie who doesn't know about the equipment or products at all it is often the easier less complicated way of entering the industry. I am not saying to go for the cheapest option as you might end up with a machine that is not "man enough" but most of the well known brands out there offer good starter packages which will easily help a newcomer to the industry get quite far before they need an upgrade if ever they do.
It is a minefield and very confusing when you come across so many different makes and models, code numbers, styles, solutions etc. And every single one will tell you that theirs is the very best on earth or even the universe. LOL As you well know there is a LOT of competition out there and everyone is out to relieve us of our money so unless a newbie has someone by their side who knows all the ins and outs they are at our mercy aren't they?
Coming on to Salon Geek you would always ( I hope) get a fair, unbiased opinion and advice otherwise you may as well throw your money at the first one you come across, cross your fingers and hope for the best.

Could you please clarify why you say what you do? What would make you wary? I am interested and I really dont mean this badly. I honestly would like to see it from a different perspective, I have qualified my opinion and would love to hear your thoughts on it as you are with a large company that offers these services

There are a lot of Geeks on here that swear by Sienna X and they do offer the starter package as well. I have used some of their samples a few years ago and they do seem to offer good back up and support to their clients. Also I like their bright and bold colors, they look young and vibrant if you know what I mean. Might be because I love pink.:wink2: All I can tell you from my own personal experience is that the tans were nice, I had no problems but I have come across clients since that have had bad experiences. I blame the technicians though. There are still unqualified girls out there that buy what they want off e bay and work un insured, dodging tax and leaving a mess for others to fix up.
Baggybear did some blind trials a while back and it is interesting to see which came out on top. LA Tanning I think, they also offer starter packages and the nice thing other than the tan and fade off is that as a new spray tanner a darker guide color is really helpful. You can really see where you have tanned so less risk of missing a bit:lol:
Also their prices are very reasonable
There are many fantastic solutions out there and quite a few geeks on here offer training and equipment. I am sure you will find someone you are happy with.

I agree with tanfastic, if you train with one company it might make sense to buy their equipment as they will go through the settings and maintenance during the training and you will get better support. You can always run different tanning solution through the machine afterwards but training is paramount to be able to give you the know how to get started properly and enjoy the tan!
