Hey everyone.

Does anybody have any recommendations on the best spray tanning course in or around London?

I am very keen to start my own mobile tanning business but I'm still none the wiser about which brand to choose after reading endless information and reviews! I am currently considering tantrick, st tropez, fakebake, LA tanning and nouvatan.

Is it best to go with the more renowned brands such as st tropez or fake bake or are the higher prices likely to put potential clients off?

I really cannot decide whether to go for the famous brands that even tan virgins have heard of or to take a chance on one of the others?

If anyone has had experience with any of these training companies, or any better ones for that matter, your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.

The only advice I can give is based on my experience (which is limited as I only qualified in tanning in Dec). I looked at the competition in my area and found out what solutions were already being offered (not hard to do - just ring and ask them) then if there was already someone doing Sienna X or Fake bake etc I knew it would be pointless offering the same solution (unless you can undercut them and still make a profit).

If people have been and had a Sienna X or Fake bake tan and didnt like it they then have the option of having a different solution with you. The only way to decide what solution you like & want to use is to get samples and try them out. Many companies will send you free sample if you email and ask them.

I have tried out many, many samples and I think I've found the tan I like but I still have a few samples left to try out so I am reserving judgement until I've got through them all.

Price can be a big factor in choosing solution and I have found that the really really cheap solutions (like a £20 litre off ebay for example) are just not good enough to hold up to a more expensive brand. They go orange have patchy wear off and dont last as long. I think a decent price solution about £40 a litre is where I am going to go as this still leaves me a priofit while offering a competitive price.
