Spray tanning?

Hi did anyone else know that once training for spray tanning is complete, u need to contact ur local council, environment officer to obtain a license to carry out spray tanning?? i work in a salon and do mobile and even tho my insurance for both shop and mobile covers me, u still need a license to carry out this treatment, everyone ive spoken to hasnt heard anything, but my council says i need one. confused!
Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Mirrorimage1981,
I have been spray tanning for a while and I have never heard of this, but every council is different. You may want to post this enquiry in the skin forum as there are lots of very knowlegable spray tanners there and some who may be from the same area as yourself who can advise you some more. xx

I contacted my council when I started (mobile spray tanning) and they said I needed nothing from them. All I needed was my insurance.

I don't think what you have been told is correct but as other poster has said, check with the council xx
