Starting up as a mobile hairdresser

Good Afternoon To All,

I am hoping you can help me :lol:

My Fiancee is looking to start up her own Mobile Hairdressing business now she has finished her NVQ Level 2 & is part way through her Level 3 and I am trying to help her as much as I can with the legal side of things.....

So my question is, to you lovely people, Other than actual equipment, What is needed to set up a Mobile Hairdressing business

Salon experience isn't absolutely essential but can help to give confidence with a range of services. Insurance IS essential though.

Best thing is to start with family and friends and build up a clientele from there by word of mouth initially.

Also, I'd strongly recommend joining something like the Freelance Hair & Beauty Federation. They provide support for mobile hairdressers and discounts with some suppliers and ongoing training.
