Hi on wed I went to see a client who had coloured her own hair!!! Her roots were a 6/3 ends prob 3 or 4, obviously she wanted me to even it out so I lifted ends with a bleach shampoo expecting then to run through with a 6/0 to even the col out as she wants to achieve 6/3 and already has quite a gold base!!! When I dried her hair I was amazed to see the col had matched up to her roots and was a lovely 6/3. She was over the moon with it and insisted on me leaving it as it was and not putting a colour over the top!!! Happy days!! Had a text this morn demanding I go tonight at 6pm as all her hair is orange now bearing in mind I only touched mid lengths and ends I'm confused as to how I approach this and what to do??? Any advice???
Thank
Nikki

If she is a fan of home colouring has she tried to put a different home colour on herself after you left? x

Makes me wonder!!! Just dreading going now because I'm soft and will end up sorting it for nothing if I'm not careful

Hi,
Probably a daft question but did you use an anti oxidant conditioner after? If not, it may be creeping oxidation which would cause it to go lighter....if it is then i think you would have to sort it sorry hun.
Otherwise if she coloured it herself, blimmin well charge her!! lol
good luck xxxx

No I didn't as I'm mobile and she used her own shampoo and conditioner upstairs in the bathroom where I couldn't see what she was using!!!! I never thought of that can see it being a looooong night :mad::mad::mad::mad:

uh oh. thats probably the culprit
Never mind hun i would just be sure to advise clients on correct product usage, mobile or salon. Doesnt matter what we do, we always get the blame if something goes wrong!!
When I did a bit of mobile, I always advised clients on corect products, wether I stocked them or not, that way I knew at least I had given all the info on maintaining thier look. If they dont follow advice, at least you told them!! In the end, I ended up retailing quite a bit, nice little bumper on the cost of the hair!

Thank you for all your advice!!!
Well, I went.......... The colour was exactly the same as when I left her on Wednesday, a lovely 6/3 nice and even lovely condition and shed washed it a couple of times and had no colour fade!!! When I asked her what was wrong she said she changed her mind and wanted more of a rich brown and chose 6/0 on the colour chart!!!!! Not impressed.
Thanks geeks for all your replies and advice lol
