My 7 year old is preparing for her first communion this Sunday. I had contacted 3 stylists to inquire about doing her up do but none will come out Sunday morning as her ceremony starts at 9am :(
I will have to do her up do myself and I just wanted suggestions. She has a medium length bob with a ton of hair and natural waves/curls. No bangs.
This is a big deal to her, as such she has a really fancy "miniature bride" dress and we picked up a decent size tiara cause Dad won't be there (work out of town) and he felt bad so now she will be over the top dressed up lol
I can't get away with some simple curls so the hair needs to match the rest of her getup.
For some reason I cannot upload any pics either... wth?!
Ideas? Suggestions? Please and Thank You

What about getting a large bun ring to do her hair in a ballerina bun? Or a flower braid?

Why don't you have a look on YouTube for some up do tutorials? I bet you could find some really cute styles xx

Thank you :)
You tube could be good, didn't think of that. She explicitly expressed NO to buns as she takes ballet 3 times a week and is fed up with buns lol
I looked on pintrest(sp?) But she didn't like much. I think she is hoping I will pull a stylist out of my ar $ e somehow.
I have created monsters :( None of my kids would entertain the idea of having their hair cut or done by anyone but a professional stylist.

I have done a French pleat before quite easily and think it looks really classic. I use lots of hairspray and lots of back combing and cheat with combs to hold it.

Good luck

Offer a stylist treble pay?
I gotta admit, I wouldn't come out at eight on a Sunday for a kiddie updo. Offer me a hundred quid instead of thirty (my normal charge), I might think about it.

Couldn't you get booked in for the Saturday, and get her hair put up then with you watching how its done, then replicate it in the morning....or just fix it if she has managed not to muck it up too much whilst sleeping.

My great niece keeps her Plaits in for a couple of days.

I seriously would! Our culture is crazy on these ceremonies and seeing as Dad won't be there he wants her day to be the most memorable.
I have offered my regular stylist to name her price and figuring how she also has a child she is already up early that she would. Plus feel free to bring your kid and then she could join us for a spectacular lunch afterwards.
I may be wrongly assuming that her kid will be with his dad this weekend so she may be wanting to sleep in?

I work Saturdays :(
We did a trial up this morning before school she "seems" okay with it.
Culred all over, tucked the tiny pony at the nape of her neck in, teased her hair in sections and placed them back secured with pins. She is testing it at school today lol
She did remind me that the next time she needs her hair done I better be doing my "darnest" to find a stylist :/
