So I have my fabbo Tantrick HVLP system and no salon to use it from. Yesterday I came up with the idea of tanning parties (makes a change from Tupperware!). SO..

!. Does anyone do it, and if so can you share some tips on how you run the evening?

2. Do you think this could prove popular, or do you think I am barking up the wrong tree?

All advice appreciated.

brilliant idea!!!!!!!! funnily enough mandy from tantrick has just booked one on thursday!!!!!!!!! think 12 people.............. at £25.00 this must be the future! she can problely do approx 4/5 people in an hour! go girl!!!!!!!

one word...

strippers!!!

they all hve tans dont they!

Totally agree Sarah!!!!

Forget the plastic & PVC parties - Tupperware & Anne Summers are yesterdays winners, Tantrick Tanning Parties are what people are now booking!!!!

OK, so here's how it works.....

Hostess invites a minimum of 6 people, make sure they have all had their invitation cards complete with tanning prep details ask them to bring their bikini's and a lightweight dressing gown. I take white waffle robes to show we are confident of our colour guide washing off!

Make sure you take a Pop up cubicle with you so can be sure not to leave any overspray behind on your hostess's new carpet!

Charge £20 to £25 per tan with the host getting hers for free, if she gets her friends to make two party bookings, she will receive a lovely gift bag of Natural Skin Care goodies!!!!

Have a "Summer Holiday" CD playing in the background....glass or two of wine......... great girls night in !!!!

Give an intro talk at the beginning explaining the process etc, promoting the benefits of a Natural Tan, & recommend the retail skin care products to benefit their tans.....

Get everyone to fill in their Client Profile sheets, decide according to skin type who is having a 5%, 8% & 10% solution and then continue to spray all the 5% people, then change to the 8% and finish with the 10%!!!!

It is amazing to see a room full of happy smiling faces at the end of the HOUR it takes to spray 6 people!!!! You will be smiling too especially as it has just cost you less than £15 for your solution!!!

Be careful if you have not got a Tantrick system though as there are many systems which will redecorate anyones lounge within a matter of minutes in over spray...... which may cause your hostess or her friends never to have another party again!!!!

If you want any further info, email me and I'll be happy to help!

Regards

thanks Mandy I knew you'd come to the rescue! I was going to mail you, but thought that it would be good to share information. Can i just ask how you advertised for your parties?

So Kate - how do I advertise for strippers!!!?

It's always good to share info!

Word of mouth is the best way to advertise parties and get bookings for more at each party..... all you need to do is ask a couple of friends who you have tanned (so they know what it is all about) to do you a favour and hold a party. Do one or two and you'll be away! I have used advertisments in a local paper before now and got nothing, people want to see that you are not going to be messing their house up!

As for Strippers..... I have more contacts here too and if you pm me about this, I'll let you know more!!!! ;-)

Sounds like a great idea, I might look into doing some of these.

And as for strippers, I had thought about ringing the local clubs/stripogram agencies and offering them a bulk deal...do they still do stripograms???

so mandy when you are talking overspray are you talking something similair to the " stars in your eyes" type of mist!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i bet there are loads thT HAVE SEEN THAT! so 6 girls only cost aprox £15.00 in products ............. In the words of peter kay" this is the future"!!!!!!!

Hi Joolz, I got it through Mandy (Spray 2 Go) and it's fab - easy to use, no tango tan, instant dry, no streaking!

Hi,

I am a mobile therapist, I have been on the tantrick website and seen the MiniMist Portable Tanning System, can you let me know if this is a good one to purchase or whether it is better to go with either System One or Two....Systems One & Two are available in a complete kit that includes training whereas the MiniMist doesn't seem to, will the MiniMist come as a kit with training in the future?

Hi Jenn I think the minimist is easier to transport than the big system that I have, but I hear there is more overspray. I really must get my act together with the tanning parties for the New Year.

even though its said to have more overspray it doesnt pose a problem. you just use a little more solution maybe. its not like u end up spraying the walls and floor or anything! lol.

could anyone recommend any other spray tanning brands that are good for mobile use??
