Can any1 suggest anything to thicken my hair!! I've tried hair skin & nails tablets, shampoos etc xx

I think theres some products in Alan howards called nioxin think they are for thinning hair and are meant to be really good, maybe you could google it and see what comes up. X

I use nioxin shampoo and conditioner for fine colour treated hair. My hair is so much thicker and grows quicker too. You actually put the conditioner on your scalp and I usually use a more moisturising conditioner on my ends :) I get it off the Internet x

I can honestly say Nioxin is amazing. I've seen it work loads!

I lost half my hair after my 3rd child :-( I used Redkin ( cant renember name!) and really really helped.

This might sound really weird but when I didn't have my extensions in and had a bob I wanted it to be thicker because I have super thin Scandinavian hair so I bought this thing for people losing their hair or have thinning hair. It's like fibres that stick to your hair and make them 5x thicker or something to fill out thin areas so you don't look balding haha. Anyway I used Several of their products and it was the only thing that really made my hair full of body and thicker. Try TOPPIK, that's where I got all my things from.

Ive been looking for a product for thin hair now, I've always had thin fly away hair and before Christmas bought Biotin tablets, and the Biotin shampoo and conditioner. Is Biotin similar to Nioxin?? Has anyone tried the Biotin shampoo and conditioner??

Also, I have weft micro ring hair extensions fitted at the moment, so is it ok to use the Biotin shampoo and conditioner and then use normal shampoo and conditioner as the Biotin leaves my hair quite dry. (at the moment I'm using Aussie take the heat 3 minute miracle but have just bought the Lush US extensions aftercare for my extensions)

Any advice would be good! :)

If you have thin fly away hair why have extensions fitted?

Biotin isn't a salon professional product and neither is Aussie so I can't comment on their results as I only use salon professional products.

I had extensions because I really hated my hair as I could never grow it out and I wanted extensions for the thickness. I originally thought extensions would be a no no but a friend of mine had really bad thin hair and had had micro weft extensions for about 2 years and said it was the best thing she ever did as she is so much happier and confident with her hair and appearance now.

I've had the micro weft extensions for a year now, and havn't found them too damaging on my hair. I have the shortest length (14") so their not too heavy and bulky on my own hair, just to give my own hair a bit of thickness.

The hair I had before was amazing and lasted a whole year, it is still sikly smooth (I kept the wefts) and would have kept them longer except they werent as thick as obv there'd been shedding of the hair. I used Aussie 3 minute miracle and it was great before, but doesnt do the job with my new hair... which is why I've invested in proper aftercare products this time.

Just looking for some products to improve the thickness of my own hair as I am well aware that I can't continue to wear extensions forever.

Hey! Had our Aveda rep in this week and introduced their new product Invati!! Been using it every time I wash my hair:) especially for thinning hair x hope this helps x

How much does it cost? And is it a shampoo sort of product? Have you tried or do you know anything about any of the other products for thin hair??

im not a hair geek, so this is a personal recommendation :) i tried bumble&bumble thickening s'poo and conditioner...saw a big difference! also i find a big bouncy blow dry makes hair look thicker. xx

Cahart8989-

With the new Aveda range called Invati you have the shampoo and the conditioner both good prices ( not sure if you can state how much they cost on here) And the treatment which you would apply directly onto the scalp not the hair twice a day. Which is a little bit more but definitely worth the cost.

All about strengthening and thickening the hair :) I have very fine hair! and this works well for me.

xx
