Hi, when doing a treatment whether it be nails/massage/facial/waxing and the rest . What do you add to that treatment to make it better than somone elses. I am not talking skills, but those extras like different teas or chocolates or a great buffer or a heated matt or a nail oil etc. Or the way you remove a product.

Something special, something different, unique

Thanks

oooooh fab thread!

* I use steamed mitts in nearly every treatment that I do, even Indianhead massage (a man told me that that bit nearly sent him to heaven!).

* I have a heated blanket on the couch so that lends a bit of luxury.

* I start all my massages with hands-free stretching techiques.

* I use a pair of jade rollers in my holistic facials.

* I sometimes infuse my treatments with essential oils or reiki.

at the moment I don't offer any refreshments, although in one of my rooms I have a decanter with water in, but not many take up the offer even though its on the table next to them. I refresh it every day with water from a water cooler.

That would be me.... what my clients recieve during their treatments that make it different from everyone else's is simply me... and my personality. At least that's what I'm told all the time.... lol

They get my undivided attention,
as there is only me in my small salon to do the treatments and the clients love that they get the one on one on all treatments,
in fact most comment that it is so much nicer than been in a salon with lots of other people around (gets quite lonely for me though when I'm quiet)

I bet no-one else pegs clients washing out:)
Only for special old peeps though.

Aww that is so nice.

I usually add in a free hand and wrist massage.

I used to get a loaf of bread and a bar of chocolate for one elderly client, sometimes I would be asked to get some acqueous cream.

but she would repay me with the money and give me a piece of cake or a homemade bread roll to take home as a thank you.

i always have my bodyshop oil burner going

their oils smell just wonderful and my clients love it

Exactly the same for me. Its lovely to offer that one to one personalised service every time.

One of my older ladies came into the salon today and said "i have a challenge for you if you are up to it ?"
i was really intrigued, she then took a patch work quilt out of her bag that she had made, she had sewn 4 buttons onto it but they were different colours,
she asked me if i would paint them for her with nail polish so that they would match,
bless, how could i refuse.
We do get some strange requests.

Thanks for the relpies.

When you offer treatments, what else do you offer to make it extra nice for your clients.

Thanks

I always soak clients feet while they are filling out a consultation card, Helps them to wind down before their facial etc

I usually burn a nice candle and have some wave music playing but I have just bought a set of portable speakers for my ipod so that now I can offer a more personalised choice of music for them:)

I also have portable speakers for my ipod and offer 5 different chilled/soothing types of music. During facials I also give a free hand and arm massage during the mask treatment and have an oil burner with tea lights. I loke the Espa oils but there are many soothing oils out there. I also go through my analysis with my clients and offer a free facial prescription so if they dont want to buy my range they can at least get the right range for themselves.
