Hi, needing some advice on Tigi colours thinking of changing my salon over to them. Just wanting any feed back from anyone who uses there colours and styling range or has used them before. I have used the same colour brand for 12 years so its a big scary decsion:| I would appreciate any feed back. Thanks

Wot are you using at the mo!?
Personally I like tigi but you can get it in any shop now and I'd like something exclusive to salons!! A lit of salons are going organic now!! My salon has just gone over to inoa and we love it and so do the clients!! It took a while to get use to but we love it!! I'd go for one of the big 5 avada, wela, redken, loreal, or Schwarzkopf. You get more free training for staff bigger discounts and fab service!! If you call each one they will send a rep with lots of free stuff and you can get first order discount if you play them off against each other. Good look with the change hope you have fun.

This week we are changing from Tigi colour to igora royal. We have been using Tigi for about a yr now but on reflection since we changed the durability just isn't there. Don't get me wrong the colours are fab and it does take a while to get ur head round the 8.5vol to cover White hair but not just the vibrant ones the fade in them all is just way too quick. I felt I can't charge clie ta for a colour that lasts only 3 weeks and also to get a half decent discount u need to order 100 tubes at a time which I feel really messes up my ordering. I hope this helps 

heyy, i use tigi creative but chose not to use the radiant gloss because my clients had got so used to colour touch quazi that radiant gloss SEMI jus didnt last long enuff to appease me or them. it takes a while to get used to.
i love the highlift tints lifting capability and like being forced to be creative with colour mixing. it is a small pallette of colours compared to the mega brands, but i feel with this it ignites your creativity. Tigi are also fab for giving you colour recipes to help you along with creating shades and when the rep visits for your training sesh you should recieve conversion advice on how to re-create your fave shades from other colour houses. xx

Im useing Goldwell and do like the result the company is just getting to big to many products its becoming hard work and expensive.
In my area there are no Tigi salons so i was looking for something a bit different. I also looked in to organic ranges i tried Inoa . I wasnt sold on it i found it very inconsistant.
I would love to go with Avada but there opening deals are massive out of my price range.
So you liked TIGI? How long did you use it for?
Thanks x

Yeah i like the idea of having a smaller colour range to keep you thinking.
I had TIGI rep come in last week and do some models. I liked what i saw just waiting to see my models this week to see if had faded.
So the radiant gloss doesnt last?
I use Goldwell at the moment which they have to many colours.
I feel i need a change something new and exciting but its a scary decsion when you have used the same company for 12yrs .
Thanks x

Can't comment on the colours but true light bleach is amazing, I never need to use anything higher than 20vol with it :)

no, and although i like a small range, it didnt have intensive quazi's like colour touch etc. so i jus keep in a wee stock of colour touch, and use tint with 8.5vol with the 1:1.5 ration for a less damaging tint/quazi.
my only wiords of warning when shifting to tigi is dont overestimate there depth, by that i mean, there 5 for example is alot lighter than a wella 5, so when converting clients over drop half a shade :) and also for brunnettes i tend to stick to the 8.5 as using 6 can occasionally give a slight root glow, however i found this when i was switch brands from wella to tigi, so it could have just been that tigi shades are lighter?? hope that helps xx

I'm also in the process of changing over to Tigi colour having used Clynol since I trained 28 years ago! Yes it is very scary as I know Clynol inside out but they are so limited and don't move with the times. I'm moving very very slowly with it and the support i get from Tigi is fantastic, both my rep and the colour trainer are always there for advice. My decision to change was finally made when a customer asked for a paraben free colour, which Tigi are.
Basically I agree with Scottdolly, their colours are lighter....except the lighter colours from 9.0 upwards which seem to be darker! I'm sticking with Clynol for high lift as they perform much better than Tigi in my experience so far.
Tigi bleaches are AMAZING as Bluerinse says, i'm also a huge fan of Radiant Gloss 0/27 for toning, especially on colour corrections, it tones loads of warmth out :)
The range of colours is literally limitless....the colour world is your oyster!
On the negative side i have found the colour does fade a little, particularly on grey coverage....i must ask the colourist about that one, it could be something i'm doing!

re grey coverage, what peroxide are u using? my colour rep said for very stubborn grey to use 8.5 and when mixing the colour do 1:1 ratio and for very stubborn add even a little more colour to the mix. also for grey i find it better to only use base and add in mix tone as opposed to mixing the base with another colour. x
