Tint to lighten hair application

Do tints that lighten hair need to be applied to the roots last?

Do tints process faster on the scalp in contrast to the ends of the hair?

1. Are the roots a different colour or is it virgin hair?
2. Heat can speed up the process but the end result should be the same.

The hair is a solid level 6

I understand the tint requires 40 volume actitvation.

Is 40 volume incredibly damaging when mixed with a tint that lightens?

How often should the regrowth be performed? Is there a risk of banding with tints if regrowth is undertaken every 3 months etc?

Also, if overlapping occurs can breakage occur with tints that lighten hair?

Do you mean coloured level 6 or virgin level 6?
Understanding the basics of colouring with different levels of developer and issues around regrowth are normally covered in the first year of training. Are you still studying or have you recently qualified?
