I used 6% bleach in foils today and tinted inbetween, the only problem was that the bleach developed before the tint and it was a pain to wipe away each foil to stop the bleach developing, is it better to tint the hair first shampoo and dry then foil? I have to use bleach as tint won't lift, any advice would be appreciated thanks

could you not do the same technique and use 3% and use a quasi as its only on for 20mins

Hi the only thing I would suggest as people on here have advised me is to use 3% with bleach as it lifts slower and even so there should be enough time after foiling to tint and wait for it to develop

sorry ment to say 3% at back and 6 at front and sides and start at the back

you can twin your foils so all colour goes on at the same time!

yes will do this next time thanks

can you tell me what you mean by twin foils?

I would use 3% with a slightly stronger developer on the top.
Or i find matrix color grafix is great for high lighting and without heat develops quite slowly and tones at the same time :)

I agree 3% then 6% on top

yep take your section finely weave, clip the weave out of the way, paint on or put in a foil the remainder of your section with your base colour, then foil the fine wave with hi/light col, so all hair is in a foil! x
