Hi everyone,

I recently did a spiral perm on very long hair, she had a box color of blonde and a big slash of schwartzkopt Purple on one side.

She's has now decided she wants as all over color of plum/red. i've waited a week for the perm to settle down before i touch it with any other color

I was wondering what would be the best thing to do to get this red/plum look id say she is roughly a base 7 with blonde and the purple. What would people use to get the red/plum look and to keep her hair in soft condition.

Help is much appreciated.
Thanks again

If you are taking her a darker level, you will be fine. It should not dissolve bonds if you are using a semi or demi. I have found waiting 2 weeks after the perm service is enough time, so make her wait until then. Being that she was blonde, I would prepig her and go one shade darker than desired, as it is likely going to drop a level due to recent chem service.

Hey,

I will be using a perm color. i was thinking of something around Weela Kole 66/46 with a low peroxide of 3% or 6%

Think ill do a strand test and give it another week.

What do u think?

Thanks

Defiantly semi or demi, acid colours are so good for the hair when a spiral has been done.

I used Loreal Dulcia Tonica for colored and sensitive hair for the spiral.

Hi,

I would wait a week and then pre-pig with Goldwell red and then use Goldwell Colorance in maybe R or RV - will give lots of depth and condition and minimise fade issues.:)

Porous hair will grab in a more permanent fashion....is there a reason you are going to use a higher ammonia and peroxide than is really needed?

I also agree, the 66/46 is a really deep colour, maybe adding a smudge of 0/45 will help aswell, rember the hair will be really porous so as youre only dropping down one level, i would use a 3% or a 6% :)

Thanks everyone.
