I'm Nym and I'm new to Salon Geek. I'm an aspiring CND Nail Tech and am completing the Brisa Gel course. I do get great support from my instructor but came upon this site while browsing.
I am having problems with tip blending. I use the prescribed CND formula. In trying to make the contact area transparent, I succeed, but then the tip breaks. I go back to my notes and dvd but experience the same prob. I've found myself getting flustered and nervous when I reach this stage of the service. Any advice?
Another problem I'm experiencing is proper apex construction. Within a week my volunteers experience breakage at this point. Again, I go back to my notes and dvd. I realize that every skill need honing but it is a bit frustrating. I am trying to do the techniques exactly but I am obviously doing something wrong. I'll leave off at this point as I'm becoming long winded. Any advice from my fellow geeks?
