Hi all.
To cut a very longgggg story short. I had choc brown hair, I tried to make it blonde I achieved a dark blonde but due to brassy orange tones I decided to just give up (tried ash purple shampoo etc it didn't work)
So I thought I'd go red, I put on a box of plum power by feria and have achieved a very bright red, it's washed out a lot at the ends (in 2 days) and now the ends are kind of orange and the top red. I don't mind it as it's kind of ombré. But if like to tone down the red somewhat to make it more of a burgundy colour... Kind of like Cheryl cole when she dyed hers.
If I pop a chocolate brown over the top will it keep it red but kind of tone it down?! Or what should I do?

You don't have to be stuck up.. Just have some sort of clue about colour science & professionalism. And seems as you have neither of those qualities you won't find any help here :)

Your comment here I feel is a little harsh.

However, please note that as you are not a Hair Professional, this thread has now been moved to Consumer Queries.

The best advice we can give would be for you to visit a local hairdresser or perhaps a college, so that you can receive some professional colour advice. Unfortunately, none of the Hair Professionals who are members of this site will give the specific details you are seeking.
