My client came in today with around 6 months regrowth of previous bleach work. She said she wanted to go darker. With being quite an ashy blonde I suggested a mocha in loreal majirel range .8's. Customer said she wanted to keep the ash just tone it down abit. I use majirel 7.23 knowing her hair I thought this would tone it down nicely still leaving a little ash. I was wrong her hair is now super ashy and after her appointment she called the salon and now wants to get rid of the ash! What's the best way to get rid of it??? I was thinking a bleach bath then to go with my original plan if a .8

Try a colour remover instead of bleach? Xx

Depending on the current colour, either just re-colour over it or a quick shampoo with a scoop of powder bleach added to it, to lift the tone out. You don’t need to add any developer just to lift out tone.

I’m interested in why you’re recommending a colour remover just to remove the ashy tone?

Cleansing shampoo, or as suggested above, bleach and water / shampoo
