Trade test and interview

I have a trade test and interview on Thursday and just wondered what the trade test might be and what sort of questions they might ask me.

I've had a trade test before and it didn't go very well as the people were very unprofessional and did my interview in the middle of the salon with a hairdryer on in the background and then made me do a full set of acrylics with gel polish and chrome using all my own products. They didn't even bother to get back to me or give me any feedback.

Just wondering what to expect really! Thanks x

Common trade tests are back massage and nail polish application.
As for questions, things like what experience do oi have, why do you want to work for us etc. Google some questions. Good luck. X

Thank you! Do you think i should ring them this week and ask them if I need to bring any of my own kit with me? And also what will I be doing for the trade test so I can have a practice the night before? X

No need to take your own kit, you'll use theirs. Like I said it's usually back massage and nails but it could be anything depends on the salon. Don't stress about it too much
