Hi there all

Hope you don't mind me popping over from hair and i
Am not sure I am in te right place but a question for hollistic therapists really

I had a massage today and have been suffering with lower back/bum pains ( put it down to a trapped nerve but it's very bad when I cough)

The lady started my massage and I came across some very painful parts in my neck/shoulder and in my bum area. The pain was nice pain if you know what I mean lol but she said it was a trigger point.

My question is how do I get rid of them- is there something I can do at home as I get bad back pain and whilst I am going to schedule in a massage a month It will be too costly for more than that for me

Advice would be great if you have any guys?!!

Hiya im a trigger point massage therapist and you can buy boards with pegs sticking out of them to lean into to get rid of the points however its not as good as getting a trigger point therapist to work them out as they can work into them as painlessly as possible and release them professionally. The way to get a trigger point out is by using sustained pressure , possibly using a rocking motion depending on the site and the size of the point. You might be able to get someone to do it for you but make sure you warm up the tissue first otherwise it will be very painful for you.
