Hi everyone, I currently have dark reddish brown hair (pic attached) and want to go a Carmel blonde (pics attached would be happy with the result of ether picture).
How long realistically should I be expecting this to take? Without ruining my hair? (My hair is healthy)
Thanks :)

Depends on how easily the red can be removed.

Is it pro colour or box dye?

If it's a permanent tint, you'd be quicker and more gentle using a colour remover initially rather than straight in with bleach but it also depends on the experience of your colourist.

The red wasn't done with box dye it was direct dyes / temporary dyes did around 3 applications, but I've heard if u put bleach onto temporary dyes it can drive the colour deeper into the hair??, and yeah I have asked a few salons if they do a colour remover that dosnt contain bleach but they don't and say it's just as damaging as bleach :s

Ah!
If it's direct dye then you must either use a special remover such as Malibu DDL or clear and 6%. Definitely no bleach!

Salons that say a Pro colour remover is damaging are talking rubbish and have probably no experience of modern colour correction techniques! Steer well clear.

Just a thought...as you're in Bristol, the Sean Hanna salon is very good. I used to go there for my hair cuts. Not sure what their colour experts are like. Also, you could consider Robin James salon in House of Fraser.

With the Malibu DDL would u mix that with developer or not? As it says it works with or developer,

I'll have a look at those salons! I just dread ending up with someone who damages my hair lol

Thanks :)
