Unsure of pre pigmentation colour

i have ombré hair and would like to go back to my natural colour which is a 3, the bleached part of my hair is 7/8 it's very gradual starts at 8 and fades into 7. having no experience i am unsure of what colour to apply for pre pigmentation before applying the brown dye.
