Hi Everyone,

I am new to doing gels at home. I have the Red Carpet Pro 45 LED lamp, and I wanted to use a Sally Hansen gel polish.

In this case, do I cure for the normal 45 seconds recommended for Red Carpet gels on the lamp, or for the 30 or 60 seconds recommended by the SH gel polish on their lamp?

Thanks!
V

Really sorry Viv, site rules we can not recommend the usage of DIY over the counter products.

Aa your profile states you are not a nail pro, advice can't be given on DIY pro products, all we can suggest, is maybe take a nail course, to you can fully learn how to use the products correctly or see a nail pro to do them for you :)

As these are both retail brands then our Nail Professionals won't be able to help, as we only use professional products.
Regarding lamps though it is advised to use the one recommended for the gel polish you use...which is why mixing systems is not advised. Is Sally Hansens gel polish even curable in LED light? Or it is only cured in a UV lamp? Your gel polish may look cured but you can't tell for sure, and under cured gel is the most common cause of allergic reactions!
You need to research the products, but my opinion is this is why working with Gels is best left to the professionals.
